Nina Bacun

Nina Bacun was born in 1981 in Osijek, Croatia, and is currently based in Zagreb. She works in the fields of art, visual communications, independent publishing, book, product, exhibition, interior and set design, curatorial work, research, creating and producing self-initiated projects as well as commissioned work for cultural institutions and nongovernmental organizations.

Bacun is interested in Speculative — Post-Design practice and interdisciplinary approach, and has been involved with the Oaza collective since 2013. She is working within the borders of traditionally defined disciplines practicing critical thinking.

After finishing her studies at the School of Design, Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, in 2011 she obtained an MFA degree within interdisciplinary studies at Konstfack – University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Her works have been included, published and awarded in numerous local and international exhibitions of art and design.
